Sebastian Vettel does not rule out Red Bull’s return

Sebastian Vettel would not rule out a possible return to Red Bull after retiring from Formula 1 team Ferrari at the end of the year. When asked whether he would possibly accept an offer from his former racing team, he said on Thursday: “The answer would probably be yes.”

The 33-year-old previously explained that he knew the team “very well” from his past. A potential duel with Max Verstappen as a stable rival would not intimidate him. “I am generally convinced that if you want to win, everyone has to beat,” said Vettel, who won all World Cup titles with Red Bull from 2010 to 2013. “Definitely” a return would be interesting.

Vettel no longer has many options for a cockpit for 2021. He also does not rule out a break or a career end. “I think there is no news. I don’t know yet what will happen, ”he said. In the “next weeks and months” one will see further. “I’ll take the time I need.”

Vettel emphasized that he still wanted Formula 1. “It’s no secret that I’m still competitive,” he said. “I am interested in achieving more, not just being there.” Vettel also admitted loose talks with Renault, which will get Fernando Alonso back in 2021. Previously, Red Bull Motorsport Director Helmut Marko had ruled out Vettel’s commitment to the coming season.
