RTV Noord and VI: Emmen wants to stunt with Padt transfer, transfer fee of 1 million

RTV Noord has shared remarkable transfer news about Sergio Padt. FC Emmen would like to take over the thirty-year closing post from FC Groningen.

Padt has been pitching for FC Groningen since 2014, but according to RTV Noord has a limited transfer fee of one million euros in his contract. Voetbal International also reports interest from Drenthe. The medium relies on ‘sources’ and adds that Padt would be ‘not unwillingly’ opposed to the remarkable move. The closing post itself was not available for comment.

He is said to have already had a number of conversations with FC Emmen coach Dick Lukkien. In the past, he was an assistant coach at FC Groningen and has already worked with Padt before.

FC Groningen, meanwhile, still hopes to extend the goalkeeper’s contract until 2021. “For the time being, we assume that Sergio will remain normal, also because we are very satisfied with him,” FC Groningen director Mark-Jan Fledderus told RTV North about Padt, who has notched 223 official matches on behalf of FC Groningen in six years.
