Ross Barkley of Chelsea is still on David Moyes’ radar for the West Ham reunion

David Moyes will revive his interest in Chelsea and English midfielder Ross Barkley.

The West Ham boss wants a reunion with the schemer he cultivated in Everton after going through the Toffee youth teams.

Chelsea declined to move from Moyes to loan Barkley back in January.

But Moyes hopes that his former protégé could be ready to continue the regular starts for the first team that would bring him into Gareth Southgate’s thoughts for next year’s European Championship.

The Scotsman is determined to lower the average age of his midfield in West Ham and make his engine room more mobile

Although Jack Wilshere fits again, Moyes has been looking for options for some time and is particularly interested in working with Barkley.

Barkley was impressed when Lampard offered him opportunities

At Chelsea, Frank Lampard relied mainly on a rejuvenated Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, Willian and Jorginho in his Chelsea midfield this season.

Barkley has started the last three games for the Blues and scored a goal in the quarter-final victory of the FA Cup in Leicester.

Southgate has Jordan Henderson, James Maddison, Mount, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harry Winks, Declan Rice and Fabian Delph to choose for England ahead of their friendly matches against Italy and Denmark in March.

There is also a massive screaming for glowing Jack Grealish that the English boss will find hard to ignore.
