Roger Federer reveals plans for 2021

More than six months have passed since Roger Federer invested and purchased a stake in the Swiss sneaker brand ‘On’. And so Federer and On finally teamed up to bring a new shoe series called “Roger Center Court O series”.

The shoes are launching today and are a limited edition from the brand. Today is also special because Federer won his first Grand Slam at Wimbledon in 2003. So fans were given a surprise, Federer went live with the sneaker brand on Youtube and interacted with fans and he answered some questions.

Due to the pandemic, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have been postponed to 2021. And a young group of fans from Tokyo, Japan, has asked the Swiss Master about his plans for the Olympics.

Federer was excited about the Olympics. He wanted to play, but the pandemic didn’t allow him. But he will surely love going to Tokyo in 2021. It is always his goal to be at the Olympics.

“I love going to Tokyo. It is a wonderful place. I am very excited to go. Obviously, it was a big disappointment for all the athletes that the Olympics have been postponed and now we hope that it will happen next year. My goal is to be part of the Olympics. For me it has always been an incredible story “ Federer said

He also talked about the Olympics and his trip to the games. Federer has participated in four Olympics by winning two medals. He also met his wife Mirka at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Federer’s most proud moment was carrying the flag of Switzerland at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.

“At the 2004 and 2008 Olympics in Athens and Beijing, I carried the flag of Switzerland, which was one of the great honors that you can get as an athlete. I also won Olympic gold with Stan Wawrinka in the doubles. In 2012 I got silver in singles at Wimbledon in London, losing to Andy Murray. ” Federer said

Federer won a gold in doubles with Stan Wawrinka and a silver in singles. He lost to Andy Murray in 2012. He is now reshaping for two knee surgeries. Federer would like to finally add a gold to the Olympic singles to his count to complete his trophy cabinet.
