Report: PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi linked to Henry Mauriss public takeover bid for Newcastle United

According to The Sun, PSG president and beIN Sports president Nasser Al-Khelaifi secretly support Henry Mauriss’ Newcastle United takeover bid.

The American made a £ 350 million offer to Magpies owner Mike Ashley last month and is preparing a move if the Saudi acquisition fails.

The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund is funding a £ 300 million move to buy Newcastle, but they are struggling to pass the Premier League owners and managers test due to ties to piracy.

The EPL legal team continued to conduct checks for nearly 15 weeks, with the Saudis answering new questions almost on a weekly basis.

Qatar’s BeIN Sports has accused the Saudi Q beout (a pirated satellite TV) of costing them millions of pounds, and it is believed in the Middle East that Al-Khelaifi is pushing Mauriss to bid, with sources close to the PSG president who claims to have spoken to the American about making an offer to derail the Saudi takeover of Newcastle.

The correspondence that allegedly suggests that Al-Khelaifi has an acquired interest in Mauriss’s offer has been seen by SunSport, but the American denies knowing him or having ever spoken to him.

Respected Pakistani journalist Wajahat S. Khan says that al-Khelaifi’s beIN Sports could buy Mauriss’s Clear TV if the American interrupts the Saudi offer and buys Newcastle, and what will happen with the acquisition remains to be seen with the Premier League and still approve the PIF offer despite frequent reports stating that it is close on a weekly basis.
