Jrue and Lauren Holiday have announced that they are donating his salary for the rest of the NBA season to start a social justice fund.

The New Orleans pelican star told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols The jump about Jrue and Lauren Social Justice Impact Fund.

According to ESPN’s Andrew Lopez, the National Basketball Players Association estimates that Jrue could earn up to $ 5.3 million between eight regular season games and potential playoff games.

Holidays are the last members of the NBA family to publicly confirm that they will contribute to social justice issues.

Guard Patty Mills of San Antonio Spurs said last week that he intends to donate the $ 1,017,818.54 of salary he will earn from restarting the NBA to Black Lives Matter organizations in Australia.

Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard, initially uncommitted to play in the restart, told CNN’s Don Lemon on July 6 that he has decided to join his team and will donate his remaining game controls to the Breathe Again campaign to help bring people together.

Holiday and the Pelicans will play Utah Jazz on July 30th at 18:30 ET in their first game.
