Manchester United star Paul Pogba has suggested staying at the club this summer after the Red Devils have made it into the top four.

A 2-0 win over Leicester meant United finished third ahead of Frank Lampards Chelsea.

United was 14 points ahead of Leicester 12 games before, but in a sensational run of form, the Red Devils finished in the top four.

Pogba was expected to leave the club this summer after twice requesting to leave the past two years.

However, the pandemic means that only a few clubs will be spending a lot of money this summer and there is no buyer who could combine a transfer fee and Pogba’s salary to lure him away from Old Trafford.

This clarification has helped Pogba in the past few weeks as his performance and body language have improved.

And the Frenchman dropped the latest hint that he’ll stay on his Instagram after his team’s 2-0 win.

“Let’s play the Champions League, baby,” said Pogba.

While Pogba may have only celebrated the club’s return to the competition, many fans interpret this as a strong indication that he will continue to be in the club as they compete with the best in Europe again.

Pogba has one year to sign his existing contract, although the club can extend it by 12 months, which means that he effectively has two years.

United are keen to extend Pogba’s deal and they want clarity on his situation before the next season.

For his part, Pogba feels comfortable in the club and was supported by the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese playmaker was a revelation at Old Trafford and his arrival enabled Pogba to play in a lower central midfield position, which also improved his mood.
