Patrick Mahomes expressed pride in his black heritage in response to people online who call him “not completely black”.
The Kansas City Chiefs star shared her views in an interview with Clay Skipper of GQ:
“I saw how people on Twitter tweeted and said,” Oh, you’re not completely black. “But I always had confidence and believed in who I am. And I know I’m black. And I’m proud to be black. And I’m proud to have a white mom too. I’m just proud of who I am. And I always trusted myself. “
He also recognized his privilege to be the son of former major league pitcher Pat Mahomes.
