Pacific Notes: Bagley, Clippers, Lakers, Morris

The King they were one of 22 teams chosen to play in the NBA reboot, which starts in a couple of weeks in Orlando, Florida. The Kings are currently 3.5 games behind Memphis for the eighth seed and could make the playoffs if they can play as before the suspension of the season.

This will depend not only on how De’Aaron Fox is Buddy Loved plays, but also as head coach Kings Luke Walton use the great man of the second year Marvin Bagley. Last weekend, Walton was asked where the former stowaway Duke is on the field and replied that Bagley is a player with no position.

“We see Marvin as a player who will practically be a positionless basketball player along the way,” Walton said. “For now, and bringing him back, we’ve got him to get most of his repetitions at five and four.”

Richard Ivanowski of The Sacramento Bee disagrees with Walton’s assessment and believes that Bagley should be considered a center or a great man. Ivanowski points out that the former overall second choice is struggling to shoot from three points (28.8%) and is not someone who can start the infringement. Instead, Bagley is better around the edge and is an adequate defensive rebound.
