Today, 75 out of 80 members attend the LOK General Assembly at the Elektrum Olympic Center.

Initially, 73 of the 80 registered members had arrived. Later, two more members joined the session, bringing their total number to 75. In order for the LOK General Assembly to have a quorum, it must be attended in person by at least 41 members.

The General Assembly was opened by LOK press secretary Mārtiņš Mālmeisters, reading a speech written by President Egils Levits. The Minister of Education and Science Ilga Šuplinska (JKP) also expressed support for the LOK, calling on the next President of the organization to establish even more active communication with the Ministry.

The General Assembly officially began with a report by former President Aldon Vrublevsky. He presented what he had done over the past four years and wished good luck to the new LOK team. Vrubļevskis plans to get involved in sports in the future through the Latvian Cycling Federation (LRF), providing his support to international projects.

Igors Vihrovs, a representative of the Latvian Gymnastics Federation, who was hospitalized on Thursday, could not participate in the General Assembly. However, the absence of the other three candidates (Deniss Cherkovsky, Edgar Dupat and Kirov Lipman) was found unjustified, as a result of which they were removed from the list of candidates for individual members. The total number of 36 candidates remained in the list of individual candidates of the LOK after this decision.
