Corey Harawira-Naera could be given a lifeline from Canterbury as part of a player swap with Tim Lafai of St. George Illawarra.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the couple could switch clubs immediately because Harawira-Naera is angry with the Bulldogs for leaving him in the cold when the NRL canceled his contract in the preseason.
The NRL Appeals Committee later decided that his and Jayden Okunbor’s contracts should be resumed, so that he was ready to play next week.

But Fox Sports announced Wednesday that Harawira-Naera wants to tell the Bulldogs that he is not interested in one place and would prefer to move elsewhere.
A potential deal with the dragons has now emerged when the club refuses to release its own wanton Jason Saab.
Lafai and Harawira-Naera are reported to have similar salaries, while the dragons have enough room in their salary cap to push the kiwi test forward next season.
The publication reports that the Bulldogs hope that Lafai will join regardless of the outcome, since they have already released Morgan Harper.
The other interested parties in Harawira-Naera are believed to be the Canberra Raiders, West Tigers and the New Zealand Warriors.
However, Okunbor is reportedly very keen to continue his career with the Bulldogs if his suspension ends after round 14.
