Anthony Seibold was saved even though the team had lost for the sixth time in a row.
Club CEO Paul White called a press conference for Sunday morning and told the media that Seibold is safe and will not be released.
“Today is about reaffirming my support for the coach,” said White.

Brisbane’s suffering began in the first week of last year’s finals when the eels struck them with an all-powerful 58-zero stroke. It was the biggest loss in the proud club’s history.
They seemed to be on the right track again in the first two rounds of 2020. The Broncos won their first two games, including the managerial resentment against the Rabbitohs.
But when the season started again after the COVID 19 break, it got ugly.
They again received their biggest blow in club history in a 59-zero bloodbath with the Roosters and were beaten up by club greats for the devilish performance.

To further insult the injury, players did not face the media after the game.
Losses against Manly and Newcastle followed, but tensions peaked after losing to the Queensland titans and most recently to the Warriors on Saturday, arguably two of the weakest teams in the competition.
Seibold was under increasing pressure to drop the million dollar man Anthony Milford and give the young gun Tom Dearden a chance, but Seibold found every excuse in the book not to do so.
Finally, on lap 7, Seibold brought Dearden in, but only as a bank whore, and kept Milford in jersey No. 6.

The following week, Seibold dropped winger Corey Oates, but was recalled to the side due to injuries. The great club Steve Renouf said Oates was used as a “scapegoat” and Seibold lost the players.
After Saturday’s defeat against the Warriors, players were unable to hold back their feelings and Captain Alex Glenn told the media that he said “it hurts” in the post-game press conference.
