He is ahead of his future teammate Maverick Vinales, and the Italian legend of the queen competition, Valentino Rossi. Yamaha therefore places three motorcycles in the first three places.
This victory for Fabio Quartararo is historic. Never has a French driver won two races in the premier class. It is now done and the Niçois does not intend to stop there. The other Frenchman on the grid, Johann Zarco, finished in ninth place and won two points.
