Mo Wrongly Losing Lovren

Liverpool

Dejan Lovren is certain to leave Liverpool for Zenit Saint Petersburg. Mohamed Salah was saddened by the transfer of his close friend.

Liverpool announced the certainty of Lovren’s transfer to Zenit on Monday (7/27/2020) evening hrs. The Croatian defender was bound by a three-year contract by the Russian club for an undisclosed purchase fee.

This transfer ended the service period of Lovren who has been defending Liverpool since 2014. During the six years in the 2019/2020 English League championship team, he recorded a total of 185 matches and scored eight goals.

The news of Lovren’s move to Zenit became news of loss for Salah. The Liverpool striker claimed he would miss the 31-year-old.

Both of them do have close relationships, both inside and outside the field. Lovren and Salah are often found sitting next to each other on a bus or plane carrying a Liverpool squad, and not infrequently on the move together.

“I don’t know how to say it, my friend. You don’t know what I’m feeling right now, we will miss you – especially me,” Salah said in a video uploaded by Liverpool’s Twitter account.

“You have become an extraordinary player and also a good friend for me. We will miss you, I will miss you very much. I love you, you are fantastic outside and inside the field,” he continued.

“Thank you for what you gave to the club, thank you also for everything you did for me. I wish you the best for your future and I hope you will get a great career.”

“Enjoy your new club with your family. Thank you very much and see you later,” Salah said.
