AL teams win 11 of the 15 weekend inter-league matches and extend their inter-league dominance over NL in this 2020 MLB simulation.
We are the equivalent of an entire season in the inter-championship part of the MLB 2020 simulation and there is no doubt which of the two leagues is stronger.
Until July 5, the American League teams recorded a record 92-71 in 163 games played against opponents of the National League. This is a .564 percentage for the AL teams, only .436 for the NL.

Nine of the 15 AL teams have achieved record wins against the NL competition, while only four are less than .500 in interleague matches.
The AL teams highlighted their dominance in five interleague series over the weekend of July 4th. They have won 11 of the 15 games played, concluding two series in series. The two best NL East teams, Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies, lost both streaks with two weak sisters in the AL West, the Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners.
The East Red leader Boston Red Sox made the boldest statement by sweeping the pirates of Pittsburgh through a three game series at PNC Park. The victories brought Boston’s winning streak to 11 games and his taking first place in a full game on Toronto’s Blue Jays.
The AL teams have won four of the five inter-league series, their only defeat being in Nationals Park. There, the host team managed to steal two of the three matches from the AL West leader H Houston Astros, who suffered the worst game all season, having lost eight of their last 10.
Nats took the game on Friday 10-6 thanks to an eighth inning of four pulls that broke a tie 6-6. Asdrubal Cabrera and Yan Gomes both delivered two RBI shots on Joe Biagini in that eighth position. Alex Bregman came home twice and drove five times to Astros.
The teams traded 6-0 weekend wins. Brad Peacock, 7-4, held the national teams for two singles on Saturday, Yordan Alvarez provided the sock with a couple of home runs. On Sunday Patrick Corbin, 5-9 years old, delivered his two batter with the assistance of Tanner Rainey’s ninth inning. The decisive three-shot home shot of Adam Eaton was the decisive blow.
Elsewhere the Al reigned supreme. In Atlanta, the Angels won games in a race on Friday and Saturday. Andrew Heaney made his 10-3 record on Friday with seven job innings in Los Angeles’ 2-1 decision. On Saturday, the Angels followed 7-6 into ninth position, but they won over Mike Trout’s home race in two games. Off Mark Melancon, 1-4. The Braves wasted a great slam of Marcell Ozuna in the seventh inning.
In contrast, Sunday’s 5-2 victory in Los Angeles was an escape. Trout returned home and Noe Ramirez finished in eighth, with Hansel Robles in 24th save.
Despite setbacks, Atlanta remained four and a half games ahead of Philadelphia because the Mariners beat them twice in Seattle. Yusei Kikuchi led the Phils to one run and two shots through seven innings of a 5-2 win on Friday. Last Sunday the M turned on Zach Wheeler for five rounds in two thirds of an innings, Kyle Seager and Evan White both. The final was 10-4.
Philadelphia’s only win came on Saturday when Adam Haseley returned home twice and Zach Eflin finished seven innings with an 11-4 win.
The Red Sox, baseball’s hottest team, have launched Pittsburgh. Boston led the Friday opener 4-0 behind the launch of a shot by Darwinson Hernandez in seventh place. Red Sox bats took the place of Independence Day, launching 17 hits – five of which are humeri – in a 14-3 victory by Ryan Weber. Rafael Devers hit two of the home games and covered five runs.
The Sox ended the sweep on Sunday, winning 3-1 on the successes of Jackie Bradley Jr. and Michael Chavis.
Tampa Bay broke the record during his vacation weekend at Wrigley Field. The Rays won 2-0 on Friday with the hit alone of Charlie Morton, the only Cubs hit by a single fourth inning by Anthony Rizzo. Morton ran three batters of puppies.
Chicago won the holiday game 4-3 in 10 innings when Rizzo chose Javier Baez, who had doubled. But the spokes are back to win 6-5 in 10 innings on Sunday. Yoshi Tsutsugo honored Craig Kimbrel in the ninth inning to tie the game, then Ji-Man Choi honored Kimbrel in the tenth to win.
