Denver Nuggets striker Michael Porter Jr. said on his verified SnapChat account that there is a “program” behind the COVID-19 pandemic and that the new coronavirus is being used to “control” people and is “exaggerated”.

Porter’s comments came at the end of a question and answer session he did on the social media app while killing time in the NBA bubble in Florida.

The last question asked to Porter, 22, said: “The brother talks about this being (exaggerated) coronavirus to scare people into being controlled, (I know) you know.”

“These are the facts,” Porter, who earlier in Questions and Answers answered a question related to the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory, started in response.

“Personally, I think coronavirus is obviously used for a larger program. It is used to control the population only in terms of controlling the masses of people. Because this virus, the whole world is controlled. Wear masks and who knows what will happen when this vaccine will come out. It may be necessary to have the vaccine to travel, it would be insane. I have never been vaccinated in my life, I have never had shots or anything like that.

“He may go crazy, but it’s definitely an agenda behind everything that’s going on right now, and all you can do is sit back and watch what’s going on and don’t get too emotionally involved.

“But it’s serious, it’s real, but yes, this is exaggerated.”

Porter, the choice n. 14 in the 2018 NBA draft, he averaged 7.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14 minutes per game this season. He appeared in 48 competitions, having lost all 2018-19 due to an injury.

The high school recruit participated in Missouri in 2017-18, but appeared in just three games – one in November and two in March – due to an injury. Although Porter claims that he has never been vaccinated, according to the university’s website, Missouri “requires that all newly enrolled or readmitted MU students born after December 31, 1956 comply with the two-dose MMR Immunization Policy” through documentation to receive vaccinations or by providing “documentation on immunity to measles (rubeola), mumps and rubella”. The university website states that “students who do not respect … will not be able to register or pre-register for their second semester at the MU”.
