Leo Messi has ended the contract extension talks with Barcelona, according to the Spanish journalist Manu Carreño from the radio station Cadena Ser. The talks seemed to be going well after the first talks between his father and the President of Barcelona, Bartomeu. The Argentine is now planning to leave the club when his current contract ends in June 2021.
Messi had the option to leave Barcelona until June 10th of this year simply by choosing to leave Barcelona. However, he chose not to exercise this option, which meant his current contract. originally signed in November 2018, will last until June 30, 2021.
