Manchester United has said it does not intend to extend Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling’s current loan agreements with Inter and Roma.
The pair initially joined loans throughout the season until June, but their deals have been extended until the first week of August so they can play the rest of the Serie A season after the coronavirus has stopped.
Under the current deal, the two players will return to Old Trafford after the last Serie A match day on August 2nd.
Alexis Sanchez has contributed two goals and seven assists since the season restarted in June
The pair will not be available to play in the final stages of the Europa League as United could potentially play the Italian teams in the final stages.
United is excited about the permanent relocation for Sanchez and Smalling as they seek to increase their summer transfer kitty, according to Sky Sports.
Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot could leave Old Trafford this summer if United receive an adequate offer, with Dortmund star Jadon Sancho indicated as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main target.

Solskjaer is also thrilled to recruit a center back and center forward to lift the weight on Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
The club spent £ 75 million last summer when Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were introduced, but the coronavirus pandemic will make money splashes significantly more difficult this year.
