While Manchester United are preparing to resume their Europa League season and a second leg against LASK is getting closer, there is still movement behind the scenes of the squad for the next season.
The Red Devils will be interested in solving the biggest problems long before the October transfer date to ensure that they start the 2020/21 campaign by moving closer to the desired squad.
Here’s what domestic and international newspapers are saying about the Jadon Sancho transfer saga, as well as some possible defensive entrances and exits with players at the other end of their careers.
No Sancho movement as Dortmund is certain

According to reports in Germany, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund remain far apart in the assessment of Jadon Sancho.
Kicker (via Sport Witness) claims Ed Woodward is reluctant to receive a ransom for a store, and suggests that Sancho himself is unlikely to force a move, which will put the move in doubt if nothing changes.
Dortmund still wants 120 million euros for the English striker, but United estimates the prospect of the former Manchester City Academy at 98 million euros.
Kicker claims Woodward is keen to shake United’s reputation as a club that always pays off when team sales cost high fees. The consideration for Harry Maguire and the former Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan puts a heavy burden on the managing director.
Vertonghen future decided “sooner rather than later”

Former Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is currently reviewing his options as he chooses his next club. Manchester United is one of those mentioned in connection with the Belgian.
Vertonghen left Tottenham at the end of the Premier League season after spending eight years in North London and is unlikely to have a shortage of offers.
While United was named as a potential target if the veteran decided to stay in the Premier League, Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is also considered a fan.
Vertonghen has recognized that the longer transfer window means that there is no rush to decide about his future, but he is still keen to act quickly.
When asked by TalkSport about his next club, Vertonghen said: “It will probably come out sooner rather than later.”
“I have something in my head and we’ll see if that will happen or not,” he continued.
Dalot offered Barcelona when United tried to unload the full-back

Diogo Dalot has become so pecked in Old Trafford that the club may already be satisfied to get his money back for the Portuguese.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Dalot was offered to Barcelona via the Manchester Evening News and could be available for € 17.4m – more or less the amount United paid to sign postage in 2018.
ESPN also reports that Barca has shown interest in the player. The 21-year-old made his United debut under Jose Mourinho and also played a role in the memorable Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain last season, but has hardly played this season.
Dalot only played eleven games in 2019/20, just four of them in the league, and his only minutes since English football returned in June were in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Norwich City.
With Timothy Fosu-Mensah returning to the first team lineup towards the end of the season and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is anchored as United’s right-back, Dalot’s time may have run out.
