National Rugby League could sue World Rugby according to the team. Following a meeting between the FFR and the League, the federation would have informed the latter of the will of WR to extend the period of provision of players for international matches. The League would have threatened World Rugby to go to court to defend the rights of its pro championships in a letter addressed to its DG Brett Gosper.
