Day of celebration, and rain of goals in Liverpool. Before receiving their English champion’s trophy, the Reds defeated Chelsea (5-3) on Wednesday at Anfield, during the 37th day of the Premier League. Obviously, the Liverpool stadium was empty, coronavirus requires, but Jürgen Klopp’s players were keen to celebrate their coronation with great fanfare. Remember that the club had been waiting for this title for… 30 years! All the stars were there at kickoff, against the Blues in search of a place in the Champions League next season. A draw would have been enough for them to validate their place in C1. We will have to wait until the last day. In the meantime, Chelsea, who for a time believed in a draw thanks to the goals of Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pusilic, is still in the right car, in fourth place in the standings. On the Liverpool side, Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum scored in the first half. Roberto Firmino and finally Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did the same after the break.
