Lampard has another excavation at Liverpool’s employees
Frank Lampard re-launched his attack on Jürgen Klopp’s coaching team after his X-rated outbreak in Anfield, accusing them of “grinning” and breaking a code of respect for executives.
The Chelsea boss exchanged views with the Liverpool backroom team at Reds’ 5-3 win in Anfield on Wednesday before both managers shared their views of the outbreak at their recent press conferences.
And Lampard took the opportunity to re-examine Klopp’s team after accusing them of arrogance.
“I think if you speak between managers and a lot of decisions are made, you can hear this more clearly now without the crowd.
“And a lot of managers will ask for decisions and it can be right or wrong. And then you talk to each other.
“But if people jump up on the bench and want to talk to myself and then grin and smile and do it for a while, I think that’s behind the code.
“It was in full view with cameras and microphones and I regret the language I used. I couldn’t resist the passion I felt. It wasn’t a foul as I saw it, but even then I shouldn’t swear, but I had a problem with some employees and it was against the code how it works in the bank.
“I have an advantage. I could not have played for Chelsea on a team that fought for Premier League or Champions League winners in pretty much every season I’ve been here.
“I’ve seen people around me who have an advantage. I can’t stand there and demand an advantage from my players after Sheffield United and I don’t have that in me to push the club forward. It’s not the right way to do this with the language I’ve used. ”
