In view of the Premier League matchweek 35, let’s take a look at some of the statistics for the next games

Tottenham Dele Alli will still be missing against Arsenal in the first North London derby in their new stadium. English midfielder Alli suffers from a hamstring injury and will be missed. Defenders Japhet Tanganga (back) and Juan Foyth (knee) are also injured.

Arsenal will be without striker Eddie Nketiah. England U21 were sent off Tuesday in 1-1 with Leicester and will miss the next three games after an appeal against the decision has failed.

Mesut Ozil (back) is likely to lose once again, while Pablo Mari (ankle), Bernd Leno, Gabriel Martinelli and Calum Chambers (all knee-length) are definitely absent.

Charlie’s prediction

This is a game in which both will look at each other and realize that they have become middle sides. From Arsenal’s point of view, they are improving. He is slow and not overly attractive, despite playing decently forward.

Tottenham is going backwards. You look at Heung-Min Son, and I might regret this, but they seem to be playing as individuals. There is no team model, but the defense changes and they keep a clean sheet. Harry Kane should have had a penalty, but Bournemouth should have had a goal.

This is a team under Jose Mourinho that has no identity. It is hard work and they are grafting but it does not work. Tanguy Ndombele is coming around for pieces, Giovani Lo Celso is kind and clean, and Erik Lamela has adorable skills. Harry Kane is always a goal threat against Arsenal, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he scores again.

Arsenal’s rear three seemed more solid and under control, so for these improvements, together with Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos, Arsenal had a better appearance. These two are not my favorites and are weak on the defensive as a support pair, but have improved on the ball.

Tottenham could raise the game, but Arsenal will be dangerous on the counterattack. Serge Aurier makes mistakes and Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will both play while Eddie Nketiah is suspended, but I think Arsenal could see them out.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 1-2 (9/1 with Sky Bet)

Opt for statistics

  • Tottenham are undefeated in their last five home games against Arsenal (W3 D2), making this the first ever match between teams at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
  • Arsenal have kept only one goal in their last 10 away games in the Premier League against Tottenham (W1 D3 L6), a 1-0 victory in March 2014.
  • Tottenham have lost 42 points from winning positions in Premier League games against Arsenal, more than any other team has fallen against another in the history of the competition.
  • Tottenham have won their last two home games and are looking to win three in a row at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since April 2019, in its first three Premier League games on the field.
  • José Mourinho of Tottenham and Mikel Arteta of Arsenal each deal with their first derby games in North London. The last team meeting that was the first of its kind for both managers was in September 1986, when George Graham (Arsenal) and David Pleat (Tottenham) played a 0-0 draw in Highbury.
  • Mourinho has never lost a home game against Arsenal in his career, winning five and drawing four of his nine games – only against Everton and Man Utd (both 10 games) he has faced more often at home without ever losing.
