Lionel Messi outlines a new plan after allowing Liverpool

Lionel Messi has called for calm in Barcelona to save another situation in Liverpool in the Champions League.

The Barcelona superstar was angry after his team’s 2-1 loss to Osasuna, which helped Real Madrid to the thirty-fourth title in the La Liga.

The Argentine has prevailed against Barcelona’s surrender in recent games, highlighting the major defeats of Liverpool and Roma in Europe as a prime example.

Messi also claimed Barcelona could suffer a similar fate this season, leaving the Champions League against Napoli in the round of 16 if they’re not careful.

Since Messi made his comments, he has had some time to cool off and now urges his teammates to be calm and improve the situation by impressing in the Champions League.

“I think we need a little rest now, this break, to clean our heads and come back with more desires than ever,” he said.

“We said everything that needed to be said, we were self-critical.

“Now it is time to work hard and give everything. There is nothing left to discuss, we just have to show that things can change, and today was an important step forward.”

He added to Barcelona’s consistency: “It is a great moment because we are going to play for something important.

“You don’t have to wear the captain’s armband to see what we did (this season). We are all aware of the fact that we have to be much more consistent.

“As the trainer said the other day, there were games where we were very good at spells, but we have to keep that over 90 minutes and in all games.”
