Leo Borg, the 17 year old son of the Swedish superstar, joined the Rafa Nadal Academy of Majorca.

Both Björn Borg and Leo Borg visited the Academy last summer. Leo Borg had planned to move to the Academy in the spring, however he was unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Swedish teenager trained on the Academy’s clay courts and in the gym under the guidance of Toni Nadal, Rafa Nadal’s uncle and original coach and Academy staff.

“The standard of coaching at the academy is very good and I think they are doing an excellent job,” said Björn Borg. “That’s why my son came here, I’m very happy and I hope that many others will enter the future because the Academy is very good”.

Young Borg has played most of his recent ITF games on difficult pitches where he has enjoyed his greatest success.

The Swedish teenager trained on the Academy’s clay courts and in the gym under the guidance of Toni Nadal, Rafa Nadal’s uncle and original coach and Academy staff.

Leo Borg played his father as a teenager in the film Borg vs. McEnroe.

During his three-day stay at the Academy last summer, the 11-time Grand Slam champion enjoyed the facilities of the Rafa Nadal Sports Center in Manacor.

“I am very happy to have come to the Rafa Nadal Academy,” said the Hall of Famer. “I had heard a lot about this place, but spending three days here confirmed it, it’s incredible. I really enjoyed it.
