Things are heating up within the NBA bubble.

Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard claims to be the latest player to fall victim to what is now called the NBA “hotline”.

During an Instagram Live session, Howard revealed that someone called reported him to the anonymous line, an outlet created by the league so that other players could report anyone who violated the security protocols established by the NBA.

“Someone told me,” Howard said after being warned that he had not worn a mask while on the NBA campus bubble in Orlando, Florida.

While the hotline was set up to protect players and everyone involved in the season is starting over, players don’t seem too happy with what they call the “hotline”.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert, who was the first NBA player to test COVID-19 positively, called the term “mean”.

“I don’t know if anyone will use it, but I think it’s a little mean,” he said according to ESPN. “I think it’s more about mutual respect and everyone does it like a small community.”
