Kyle Hadala, the man on video hitting leading Philadelphia Eagles player Dallas Goedert at a South Dakota bar, said on June 19 that he was protecting a friend after being harassed by the group de Goedert throughout the night.
Hadala said in an interview with TMZ Sports published Wednesday that the groups first interacted at another establishment, where Goedert’s group verbally denounced them jukebox choices.
“They were extremely aggressive and disrespectful,” he said.
Hadala explained that his friends had decided to move to the Zoo Bar, but that they were being followed by Goedert and Co. The situation had deteriorated over time and he intervened to protect a friend in the midst of a verbal argument with the eagles of the Eagles, insisting that this was not the case. the suckerpunch the viral video seemed to show.

“They chose my little colleague from the group, put themselves in his face and made very threatening comments about his personal well-being,” Hadala told TMZ. “Then a member of his team said to my other colleague, and I quote, ‘You’re just a big f-king p-sy. I’m going to defeat you.'”
Goedert was hospitalized after the incident and released. He was described as “good” by those who were in contact with him after the situation, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.
Hadala was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a Class 1 offense, because the NFL player suffered no “serious bodily harm” as a result of the punch, according to McManus.
“I protected my friend, then I was ambushed by five to seven people who kicked, kicked, threw beer bottles, etc., trying to cause bodily harm whose medical care I received at the hospital the next day, “said Hadala. TMZ.
He added that he had hired a lawyer and planned to challenge the assault charge in court.
Goedert and the Eagles are expected to open their training camp in late July before the scheduled start of the regular season, a September 13 clash with the Washington Redskins.
