After the heart infarction: “Seize the day”
Ronald Koeman says he feels fit and healthy again. The national coach was admitted to the AMC hospital in Amsterdam in early May after returning from a bicycle trip with heart problems. There it turned out after investigation that he had a heart attack. Koeman was then doped.
Now, two months later, Koeman is feeling well again. “I feel fit, no different than before. I cycle again. The condition is less than before.”
Without wishing to waste too many words on it, Koeman showed that the event does compel reflection. “When you are 55-plus, you know that you normally don’t have thirty or forty years. You are well over half. Even more than before, I think: seize the day.”
