Juan Mata Eyeing Up moves away from Manchester United

Juan Mata is reportedly ready to leave Manchester United this summer and Fenerbahce could be his destination, with the Super Lig club interested in the Spanish midfielder.

United will continue their transformation this summer, which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has embarked on, with players likely to enter and exit Old Trafford.

Mata’s time on the field has declined in recent times, particularly with the addition of Bruno Fernandes, and he may be one of the players to leave.

According to the Turkish outlet Countless football games, the 32-year-old is “impatient” to leave United and is interested in the Turkish Fenerbahce team, according to reports from the club which sees it as a potential signature.

The Spanish director signed a new deal last June, which keeps him at the club until summer 2021, with the option of an additional year, which means that the Super Lig club is expected to pay a fee.

What the Red Devils would ask the midfielder would be under discussion, but the former Chelsea man has certainly abandoned the pecking order.

With Paul Pogba in shape and Fernandes in incredible shape since joining in January, the third role of central midfielder has usually been taken on by a more defensive midfielder.

Mata also played extensively on the right, but Mason Greenwood and Daniel James were preferred in that position and Jadon Sancho was strongly tied with a move to Old Trafford.

The former Valencia man was used as a substitute in two of Solskjaer’s team’s last three league games and left against Norwich in the FA Cup final last weekend.

However, he has only started eight league games this season, although he also has seven starts in the Europa League, and is unlikely to get too much football before the season ends.

Solskjaer’s release to United began with Marouane Fellaini in January 2019, the only other signature of David Moyes, before Romelu Lukaku, Matteo Darmian, Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez left last summer, both permanently and on loan.

There will probably be more exaggerations in the summer transfer window and United Paul Scholes legend thinks the club only needs to add two signatures to be able to initiate rival challengers Manchester City and Liverpool to the title.

Do you think Mata will still be at Old Trafford next season? Let us know in the comments.
