The Washington NFL team has hired a lawyer to “dive deep” into its own culture, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This culture has been seriously examined in recent days. Here are the full details of Schefter, whom he tweeted Thursday afternoon:
The NFL team in Washington has hired DC lawyer Beth Wilkinson to review the organization’s protocols, according to league sources. While Wilkinson should dive deep into the organization’s past culture, team leaders are very upset / frustrated with the speculation that is racing.

The Washington Post is preparing a story about its NFL team that should highlight the culture that exists. In the past week, front office members Richard Mann III and Alex Santos, as well as play-by-play radio voice Larry Michael, have all left the organization.

The hiring of Wilkinson is just the latest development in what has become a very stretched stretch for the Dan Snyder franchise.
Monday’s announcement that the team would withdraw its previous name and logo has since been overshadowed by the publication of an imminent Washington Post story that is expected to reveal serious problems within the organization.
The story, however, has yet to be released, despite construction rumors of its content. The delay was attributed to the need for lawyers to get involved, and now this is obviously happening.
Last weekend, two front office executives, Alex Santos and Richard Mann II, were released. Larry Michael, a longtime radio man, left his post on Wednesday.
Wilkinson’s biography can be found here.
