JOSE MOURINHO would not change Bruno Fernandes to Giovani Lo Celso.
The new Manchester United star has set the Premier League on fire since its arrival, but it could have been a Spurs player if a move in North London hadn’t passed over the past summer.
Tottenham had talks with Sporting Lisbon but was unable to agree on a commission, so he signed Lo Celso, 24, on loan from Real Betis.
Portuguese ace Fernandes, 25, eventually moved to Old Trafford in a £ 55 million move in January.
And in the same month, Spurs activated the option to make Lo Celso’s move permanent with a £ 45 million deal.

Lo Celso slowly started his career in Tottenham, but slowly became one of the club’s most important players.
But Fernandes took the field at Old Trafford and is now the deadliest attack force in the Premier League with six goals and four assists in all sine competitions.
But despite the explosive impact of the midfielder in the old Mourinho club, manager Spurs says he is happy with his fate.
He told Sky Sports News: “I don’t know anything about it.
“But if this is true, and if Lo Celso were the player who came to Spurs [instead of Bruno Fernandes], so I would say I would not change Lo Celso for any player.
“Not just for Bruno, but for any player.”
Fernandes scored twice during United’s 3-0 victory in Brighton on Tuesday evening.
And he has already entered into a relationship on and off the pitch with Paul Pogba who played the real estate agent for him when he arrived in England.
Elsewhere, Mourinho on Tuesday insisted that Lo Celso’s midfielder colleague Tanguy Ndombele may change shape despite rumors of a major failure between the pair.
