JOORABCHIAN ARSENAL HOPE CAN PROTECT JOELSON FERNANDES ‘SIGNATURE

Arsenal has launched an official offer to sign Sporting Lisbon’s next talent Joelson Fernandes, according to reports.

The 17-year-old wing is represented by super agent Kia Joorabchian and has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus superstar Ronaldo has also started his career with Sporting and relations have drawn a confrontation between the two.

Arsenal is not alone in their interest in Fernandes. Barcelona and RB Leipzig are also thrilled.

But the Gunners and another Borussia Dortmund suitor are the first to make concrete proposals, he reports The ball.

However, the Daily Express says Arsenal remains confident thanks to their relationship with its agent. Arsenal football director Edu is a close friend of Joorabchian and hopes the teenager will move to north London.

Joorabchian’s company, Sports Invest UK, also represents David Luiz and Cedric Soares. The pair recently agreed on new deals with Arsenal.

Sporting Lisbon are also hoping to tie the seventeen year old to a new deal. As from The ball, Fernandes will be offered a contract that will have its exit clause set at around € 75 million (£ 68 million). Should he sign, this will end Arsenal’s interest.

But the report says it could still decline the deal and that it could be led by its agent to move to Arsenal.
