You started the spring very well, but after the coronavirus break you lose. Why?
Unfortunately, the break hurt us. We were started before her, except for the match with Krasnodar, we won everything, including the preparatory matches. We were on the right track. Too bad the break came. We lose points completely unnecessarily. For example, at the weekend at home with Tambov, we led twice, but we still had the match taken. Similarly, in matches before, in which, moreover, controversial moments took place.
What kind?
We were supposed to kick penalties, they didn’t give us regular goals. But there is no point in returning to it. Now we just need to react with winnings. And above all, focus on the Russian Cup. This is a priority for us, only through it can we get to Europe. The ambitions of us players and the club are clear, we definitely want to play the cups. We are playing the semifinals at Zenit, so the lot was not very inclined towards us. But I believe we will move forward.

Can there be at least a limited number of spectators at the stadiums?
Clubs are allowed to fill ten percent of the stadium’s capacity. We have a large stadium for forty-five thousand spectators, so four and a half thousand fans get lost in it. But that’s how the rules are set, we have to accept them. Overall, it’s great that people are slowly returning to the stands.
After the restart, the program is quite inflated, how do you manage it?
We play twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the same model we will go to the end. I manage without any problems, I worked on myself a lot during the break. In Moscow and in the Czech Republic. I managed to return before the borders were closed. When the league was interrupted and it was certain that we would have at least a month off, foreign players were allowed to fly home. We arranged a private plane, we flew to Berlin. From there, everyone to their countries.
How was the individual preparation in the Czech Republic?
I spent over a month here. I had trainings from the club through video, focused on strengthening. I fulfilled individual plans regarding running. And he was on the field every day. I trained with the people I worked with while working in Slavia. With my manager Karol Kisel, I went to the gym to fitness coach Petr Gažák. I tried to take this situation positively. I have never experienced a period when I had so much time for individual preparation. So I made the most of it.

Did you follow Slavia’s path for the defense?
Of course, I watch Slavia from a distance. I expected him to win the title. I am very happy for the club, winning the league three times in four years is excellent. The defense was successful despite a considerable change of staff, eight players left the base. Hats off as the coaches and the new boys settled the situation. I am still in contact with them, especially with assistant Houštecký.
Will they send you a championship medal?
I’m kidding the Slavs to hide one medal for me. Or calmly only half, because I played only six matches at the beginning of the season. The title belongs, of course, to more boys. All the more I want to win a trophy with Spartacus now. If we won the Russian Cup, I would actually have a double. (Laughs)
