Goals Rumors: Sean Marks motivated to keep Jacque Vaughn as head coach | Bleacher report

Seth Wenig / Associated Press

Brooklyn Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn has a lot to prove in the coming month. Dapart from not having Spencer Dinwiddie, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant or DeAndre Jordan in Florida to restart the NBA.

Vaughn took over the list after coach Kenny Atkinson was fired in March and remains in the game to keep the job full time. Now he could have an ally in that fight, with Marc Berman from New York Post reporting general manager Sean Marks is interested in continuing their relationship.

Berman noted that both have worked for the San Antonio Spurs since 2010-12 and the familiarity would have allowed Marks to “have input” in case Vaughn’s role becomes permanent.
