The cup final had to be interrupted in Denmark. Despite Corona, spectators were allowed into the stadium, and some of them had to deal with the police. Cases of violations are also increasing in Germany.

DThe Danish cup final in Esbjerg on Wednesday evening had to be interrupted for 13 minutes because some spectators did not abide by the corona rules. In the game between AaB and Sønderjyske, some fans were too close together. After several unsuccessful requests from the stadium announcer to keep one meter apart, the referee then temporarily stopped the game.

More than 40 people were escorted out of the stadium by the police and driven away in a bus. According to the AaB, the game had around 1750 spectators.

The Danish government only gave the go-ahead for more spectators in the stadiums on Tuesday. Minister of Culture Joy Mogensen said: “It is very annoying that part of the public does not respect that these rules are there to protect us all. I hope this is a signal to everyone in the audience. ”

The cup final ended with a 2-0 win for Sønderjyske, who celebrated their first cup win in club history.

Thousands celebrate in Braunschweig

Not only in Denmark, but also here in Germany, football is increasingly ensuring that the corona rules are violated. Whether in Bremen, Dresden or Bielefeld – the gatherings of celebrating or optionally mourning fans piled up towards the end of the season.

The most recent example is Braunschweig, where Eintracht made the promotion to the third division perfect on Wednesday evening. Several thousand fans celebrated afterwards. After the 3-2 win against Waldhof Mannheim, many of them gathered in front of the Eintracht stadium to cheer with the team. The players were standing at the rear exits of the main grandstand. At the same time, several car parades took place in the city.
