CHARLOTTE – Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was arguably one of the best players in the league in 2019, and in 2020 he is in the top 10 to be matched.
On Wednesday night, McCaffrey landed 6th on the NFL’s 2020 Top 100 list, which ranks among the best in the league according to its players’ votes. McCaffrey is the only current list member on the list.
McCaffrey put on one of the best seasons for a running back in league history last season, and his peers took notice. He became only the third player to record 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in the same season. He also set a league record for running backs with 116 receptions en route to finish atop the NFL with 2,392 yards of scrimmage. McCaffrey’s 402 touches also led the league.
This is McCaffrey’s second Top 100 appearance. He was No. 42 in 2019, which means he has jumped 36 spots year after year.
