Chelsea fans’ preferred line-up against West Ham: Abraham leads the line when Jorginho returns

After a hard win against Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals, Chelsea are back in the Premier League as we travel to West Ham via London. David Moyes’ Hammers haven’t had much fun since the restart, but should never be underestimated in their fight for relegation.

THE CHOICE OF PEOPLE

The 4-3-3 remains the preferred formation of the WAGNH community and there is nothing the 4-2-3-1 (21%) can do about it.

Not surprisingly, Kepa Arrizabalaga returns, despite veteran Willy Caballero (2%) conceding a goal in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The same center-backs start against Leicester in Antonio Rüdiger and Kurt Zouma, while both full-backs are changed. Emerson (5%) and Reece James (20%) make way for Marcos Alonso and César Azpilicueta. Andreas Christensen’s (35%) knocking will have kept many people from choosing him.

Since Mason Mount pulls in the wing here, a trio of N’Golo Kanté, Mateo Kovačić and a returning Jorginho are preferred. It’s worth noting that it was a close call as the golden boy Ross Barkley (47%) hardly missed it. Ruben Loftus-Cheek (31%) and Billy Gilmour (5%) are not yet ready to start.

Tammy Abraham is again preferred over Olivier Giroud (44%), while Willian and the aforementioned mount complete the attacking band. It was somewhat surprising that Pedro (32%) received so few votes that Christian Pulisic (40%) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (7%) were probably not fit enough to play from the start.

PREFERRED POSITIONING

I hope Christensen is fit enough to go straight back to our defense as his ability on the ball will be important to help the team destroy what is likely a low lying West Ham. If Pulisic is not fit, I would go with Pedro and Willian on the wings and drop Mount into the three-man midfield.

Ross Barkley off the bench as usual to drop a master class. I have planned everything!
