Cam Newton officially signed on Wednesday with the Patriots and is currently working on the game book.
Newton posted a photo on Instagram of him studying his new team’s playbook, and wrote that teammate Julian Edelman warned him that it was not easy.
“This calculation s – t!” Newton wrote, attributing this quote to Edelman.
Most of Newton’s attacking teammates have already been with the Patriots and played for coach Bill Belichick and attacking coordinator Josh McDaniels, so they are used to doing the math to learn the manual. Newton will need to be aware to start at the start of the first week’s season.
