Bruno Fernandes wins Man of the Match against Leicester

“I am happy – all goals are important in different ways” Fernandes told us.

“Today it was important for us and for me to mark this goal because it gave us the opportunity to be more relaxed in the game.

“Obviously Leicester tried to attack because they needed to score twice, but we defended well and in the last few minutes we never stopped fighting.”

The Portuguese added that he liked Kasper Schmeichel’s attempts to take him out, during what was a long wait to take the corner.

“I like the pressure and I like it when the goalkeeper leaves the ball next to him to give some pressure. I know he’s afraid.

“It gave me that little bit of confidence I need. Sure, they try to make these mental games but for me it’s better when they do. “
