Arsenal are interested in Said Benrahma, but Chelsea have opened negotiations to sign the Brentford winger, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has been a key part of Brentford’s drive to secure promotion from the league to the Premier League with 17 goals and nine assists in 41 appearances this season.

According to RMC Sport, Chelsea are already in talks with Benrahma representatives to discuss a potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The report says Chelsea have registered their interest but have not submitted a formal offer.

However, Frank Lampard’s team faces the competition, as both Arsenal and Leicester City are interested in Algeria’s international.

Earlier this month, speculation increased over Benrahma’s potential move to Chelsea after his close friend congratulated him on moving to Stamford Bridge during a live video on Instagram.

Chelsea are likely to be targeting a new winger in the next transfer window as both Willian and Pedro are about to leave Chelsea when their contracts expire at the end of the Premier League season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been empowered to pursue Kai Havertz as Bayer Leverkusen midfielder would have agreed to join Stamford Bridge.

However, while Chelsea have indicated that they are willing to pay the € 100 (£ 89.8 million) 21-year-old asking price, Leverkusen is looking to delay the transfer until the end of August so that the midfielder can show up in his Europe. League campaign.

Leverkusen will play for the Rangers in the return leg of the Europa League round 16 of August 6, while the final of the competition is scheduled for August 21.
