Are NFL owners bribing officials? Latest DC rumors may explain official bias against Raiders – Raiders Beat

Be ready. The mysterious story involving the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins is going to be ugly.

Abuse, sex trafficking and drugs are just a few of the rumors going around as the world waits for the Washington Post to fall. In fact, lawyers have already been hired just in anticipation of the story.

Right now there is a rumor going around Reddit (and also around blogs) that is a lot of what this website has heard privately. One detail that didn’t go around, however, is one aspect of Reddit’s story that may have affected the Raiders for years.

Apparently, the history of the Washington Post (or an account for that matter) is going to accuse Washington owner Dan Snyder of bribing officials – some officials bringing the corrupt owner up to $ 2 million.

If this happens, how many other owners may have done the same?

We learned in January that the data strongly indicates an arbitrary bias against the Raiders, particularly with regard to subjective sanctions. In other words, when officials use their judgment to make a call (hold, pass interference, etc.), the numbers show that sanctions are imposed against the Raiders at some point. a lot higher rate than they are for the rest of the league.

If an NFL owner paid / paid officials, how many could do the same?

The Patriots are one of the least penalized teams in the league each year. They are also punished for cheating approximately every two years. Are we to believe that the owner of the Patriots, Robert Kraft, is not guilty of cheating in one form, but that he was caught cheating just about everyone else?

Again, this is just a rumor at this point, but would anyone be surprised if it turns out that the Raiders have been sidelined by corrupt officers for years?

Just something to think about.

And for what it’s worth, expect teams and insiders (many of whom have very close ties to team ownership) to refuse this type of corruption to the end. Unless proven, no one will admit to bribing arbitrators.

No title

In response to wild internet speculation that Washington NFL team members paid the officials, a source laughed, strongly denied it and added, “If we did, we must recover our money ”.
