Former Tigers coach Terry Wallace has asked Damien Hardwick to find a new role for double premier Josh Caddy.
Hardwick used Caddy on the wing last weekend against St. Kilda and was outdone by Brad Hill, who scored 19 goals and a goal on the way to a 26-point win.
This achievement prompted Essendon legend Matthew Lloyd to say that Caddy should never play the wing again in the AFL.

Talk to SEN The game committeeWallace said it was Caddy conditioning that had let him down since the season resumed last month.
“He was put under the microscope two weeks ago. I have no doubt that he was underestimated, ”Wallace told the program.
“I thought it was a real fight for him last week. Even his physicality has dropped by one level.
“There were times last week when he allowed Hill – and we know Hill is such a great runner – that you won’t catch Hill when he reaches the gate from you.
“A big guy like Caddy should never allow Hill to get past him. The physicality of his game was not quite where it should be.
“I thought he was free in his first return the week before. Better after half time, but certainly very, very calm. “
He added: “It doesn’t work for the position he is playing. He was sitting next to (Jack) Riewoldt, but can he sit next to (Tom) Lynch and Riewoldt? “
Caddy served as a defensive full-back towards the end of last season and was a key figure in Richmond who won his second flag in three years.
His 2020 season was interrupted more than most after missing the Tigers’ Round Two game against Collingwood with a calf complaint.
Since his return the following week, he has had 13 touches against Hawthorn and 12 against the Saints.
