AFL referees were pounded after a questionable decision against Essendon star Andrew McGrath for the “worst decision of the year”.
Near Brisbane’s goal, McGrath fought for the ball with Lions onballer Jarryd Lyons, collected it from the grass and fought in the air for possession.
However, the referee stated that McGrath dipped the ball and dragged it into the room.

This led to a goal for the Lions that fans were currently blowing up among other questionable social media decisions.
Keep talking Channel 7Hawk Luke Hodge, four-time Prime Minister, said the rule had not been properly assessed.
“This rule is not being introduced for this. He dives in, but stands up and tries to fight it, ”he said.
“Jarryd Lyons does as much as he does to hold the ball. This rule is not introduced for this, he tries to fight.
“That is the frustrating thing. It’s the change in interpretation and I feel for the referees. I said something late and then you have to optimize something in the middle of the round.
“Ball it up and let him fight again.”
AFL 360 co-host Mark Robinson went to Twitter to put the poor umpire back on the agenda, while Richmond legend Matthew Richardson tweeted a series of laughing emojis in response to the incident.
It wasn’t the only incident that caught the eye, and a number of other referee mistakes frustrated fans throughout the competition.

This McGrath holds the ball … COME. ON. That’s a joke? Everyone will soon be standing around and watching the ball. There is no point in getting it.
