According to The Post, the team denied a request to release 15 of the former employees of the non-disclosure agreements so that they could speak officially.

Emily Applegate, who worked as a marketing coordinator before leaving in 2015, was the only woman to have told the newspaper about her work experience for the organization. The allegations, which allegedly lasted from 2006 to 2019, are said to be openings or unwanted comments of a sexual nature and urges to wear revealing clothing and to flirt with customers to enter into sales agreements.

“It was the most miserable experience of my life,” Applegate told the newspaper. “And we all tolerated it because we knew that if we complained – and they reminded us – there were 1,000 people who would accept our work in the blink of an eye.”

Washington owner Daniel Snyder also denied several requests for an interview, the newspaper said.

The Washington Post detailed the team’s accusations last weekend, and they discovered that three employees were implicated in the inappropriate behavior, the newspaper reported. Washington radio’s longtime voice Larry Michael, who brutally retired on Wednesday, and pro staff manager Alex Santos – who was recently laid off – were two names mentioned in the allegations on Thursday.

The team said in a statement that it had hired Washington DC attorney Beth Wilkinson “to conduct a thorough independent review in all of this and help the team set new standards for employees for the future” .

None of the 15 women have accused Snyder or former team president Bruce Allen of inappropriate behavior, the newspaper said. However, women thought they should know that these behaviors were happening

“The Washington Redskins football team takes employee behavior problems very seriously,” the team said in a statement. “Although we do not speak publicly about specific employee situations, when new allegations of conduct violate these policies, we deal with them quickly.”
