‘What a player’ – Manchester United fans react when transfer goal Jude Bellingham returns to Birmingham City

Manchester United fans reacted on social media after Jude Bellingham returned to action for Birmingham City this afternoon.

The youngster is a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after joining the first team in Birmingham this season.

Bellingham is considered to be one of the country’s most promising young players and is ready to take the next step in his career at the end of the season.

MEN Sport understands United’s interest in the 16-year-old who emerged in January, but no formal offer has been made.

However, he was toured the Carrington training complex with his parents in March, when the Reds attempted to convince him that a move to Old Trafford would have been better for his future.

Borussia Dortmund is believed to be United’s main competition to sign Bellingham, which has also been provisionally connected with Arsenal and Chelsea.

The championship returned this afternoon following a long hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

And here’s what United fans of Bellingham thought in his first game for Birmingham in the goalless draw against West Brom.

Speaking ahead of today’s game, Birmingham boss Pep Clotet insisted that Bellingham focused only on his side in the ongoing discussions of transfers.

“I won’t be able to tell you much because it’s about the club and Jude Bellingham,” said Clotet. “I never wanted to get details from them.

“I think Jude has done a fantastic job in these months, leading to this situation we have now. In my opinion, he seems like a stronger player, he seems very concentrated.

“There must be a simple decision between the club and Jude and whichever other club is involved, in case Jude leaves.

“But it depends on them and I can’t add anything else.”

Clotet’s side held the promotion by chasing West Brom in a 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns with Bellingham playing 70 minutes.
