Vlap says about season at Anderlecht: “Proud of what I have put down”

Michel Vlap was picked up at home last summer by RSC Anderlecht. The Dutchman came for about eight million euros from sc Heerenveen. Vlap had a season with ups and downs, but says it is satisfied.

“The beginning was difficult, but I am proud of what I have put here,” Vlap explains Football International. Vlap was especially convincing at the end of the season, with five goals and two assists in the last three games. “It runs old-fashioned like a tierelier”, says Vlap.

The 23-year-old midfielder started the season with some strong performances, but eventually disappeared to the bench. In the fall months he had a hard time persevering. This changed at the beginning of 2020, with a lot more playing minutes and ultimately a good end of the season. In total, he eventually scored ten goals and three assists in 23 league games.
