Tunisian report reveals FIFA ruling in Al-Ahly v. Coastal Star

A Tunisian report revealed the ruling of the FIFA Conflict Resolution Chamber in the Al-Ahly club case against the coastal star, due to the failure to pay the dues for the fine imposed on the latter’s player, Soleimani Coulibaly.

The IFM radio said that the coastal star’s management had received a letter from FIFA’s Chamber of Dispute Resolution stipulating that the club be banned from the transfer market for the next three periods.

The report indicated that this decision came from FIFA because of the failure to pay the dues of the Venezuelan striker Darwin Gonzalez, the former striker, estimated at 200 thousand dollars, in addition to the Al-Ahly case regarding Soleimani Coulibaly.

Tunisian radio reported: “Al-Ahly demands the remaining installments of the fine due to its interest after the Ivorian Suleiman Coulibaly violated his obligations with the Red Genie in 2017, where the value of the fine is more than a million and a half million dollars.”

The Tunisian report concluded that the coastal star will be required to pay the value of the debts within a maximum period of 45 days from the date of the arrival of the FIFA letter to him in order to raise the penalty of prevention or give it legal enforcement.

Al-Ahly had announced earlier that it had reached an agreement with the coastal star to settle the penalty of Soleimani Coulibaly, estimated at one million and 400 thousand dollars, after his escape in 2017, but the Tunisian club did not commit to pay the installments within the stipulated dates.
