Norwich has found it difficult to adjust to life in the Premier League and is currently six points behind the bottom of the table.

The Canaries are facing a tough fight to secure their top status for another year. Trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are still ahead.

For the fans of Norwich, however, it was not all doom and darkness. They’ve had some moments they could enjoy this season – especially the 3-2 win against Pep Guardiola’s men on Carrow Road in September.

The game report that day included Todd Cantwell, who, together with Emi Buendia, was the key to the open and offensive game style of the Canaries.

However, they are not the only young stars to have impressed this season, and before Norwich’s trip to the Emirates on Wednesday night – LIVE on talkSPORT – we focused on the talents that will remain in the Premier League – even if the Canaries go under .

One thing is certain – Norwich will not be forced to release one of its most valuable assets.

After all, they sold James Maddison from Leicester and England for a fee of over £ 20m when they were still a championship club.

Max Aarons – Possible destination: Tottenham

The city’s academic was constantly involved in large movements of money throughout the season. Some of the largest English clubs showed interest in signing the talented defender.

Spurs have been associated with the 20-year-old more than most, although interest has also been attributed to rival Arsenal in north London.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly interested in adding a right-back to his ranks, with Aarons taking into account, but the Gunners appear to have been priced out of a deal.

Norwich wants about £ 30m if they want to part with Aarons even if they are relegated.

Emi Buendia – Possible destination: Leeds or Liverpool

The Argentine was Daniel Farkes’ most consistent player this season, and this form has not gone unnoticed.

The 23-year-old winger has played 30 Premier League games this season. Leeds, the champions’ pursuer, is the youngest club to be associated with him.

At this point, it is likely that his current team and whites will switch divisions, and with fellow countryman Marcelo Bielsa on Elland Road, this would certainly be a tempting move for Buendia.

Liverpool has also been reportedly keeping an eye on Buendia and his clubmate Jamal Lewis. So if Master called, it would surely be impossible to reject their progress.

Jamal Lewis – Possible destination: Leicester or Crystal Palace

As mentioned above, Lewis was also on Jürgen Klopp’s radar, but it’s a move to another high-flying Premier League team that is the more likely perspective.

Leicester’s recruitment under manager Brendan Rodgers was impressive. The Foxes were in pole position and secured a top 4 place this season.

Lewis would certainly like the prospect of Champions League football and a regular starting place.

As Ben Chilwell will increasingly work with Frank Lampard at Chelsea, the position of the left-back remains open.

The 22-year-old would be the perfect replacement for the England international and would likely cost around £ 20m.

Should the foxes take a step, they will almost certainly be exposed to the competition from Crystal Palace, who have long admired the talented offspring.

Todd Cantwell – Possible destination: Liverpool or Manchester United

It depends on when and not whether the lively midfielder changes pastures.

While Cantwell has not been able to repeat the impressive form he showed at the start of the season in 2020, he reminded everyone in time of his talent with a brilliant goal against Manchester United at the weekend.

Cantwell, described by ex-Canarian frontman Chris Sutton as “exceptional talent”, literally has the world at his feet.

Liverpool are reportedly keen on the young offensive midfielder. Adam Lallana is leaving Anfield at the end of the season and Xherdan Shaqiri is expected to follow.

Norwich is believed to be valued at around £ 30m, and while he’s under contract with them by 2022, relegation to the English second division would almost certainly mean the end of his tenure on Carrow Road.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made no secret of his desire to build a group of young, hungry British players in Old Trafford – and Cantwell would certainly fit that shape.
