Timo Werner left RB Leipzig very sweetly. One goal in the Bundesliga last week made him the club’s all-time top scorer. Top!
Werner plays the final match with Leipzig when they travel to Augsburg on Saturday (6/27/2020). Werner became a star thanks to a donation of two goals that made Leipzig win 2-1.
These two goals are a big deal for Werner because he scored the highest goal record during his Bundesliga career, which is 28 goals in 34 matches. In addition, Werner can give a sweet farewell gift to Leipzig and its supporters.
The 24-year-old is officially the club’s all-time top scorer with 95 goals, beating Daniel Frahn’s record. Remarkably Werner won it in just four seasons since Leipzig rose to the Bundesliga in the summer of 2016.

A total of 95 goals were achieved by Werner from 159 appearances or an average of almost one goal per two matches. This season is Werner’s best performance because he was able to make 34 goals from 45 matches.
Unfortunately, Werner will not continue with Leipzig in the Champions League quarterfinals next August, having decided to join Chelsea sooner on July 1. So, at least Werner can give a sweet farewell gift to Leipzig.
