Thomas Müller delivers his 21st assist in the Bundesliga and equal Kevin de Bruyne’s record

We no longer expected it and yet, like a phoenix, it rises from the ashes. Less dashing in recent seasons, Thomas Müller seems to be experiencing a second youth at Bayern since the appointment of the coach Hansi Flick.

Converted into a playmaker role further back on the chessboard, the Bavarian is in full swing and multiplies the assists. Against Wolfsburg this Saturday, he only needed four short minutes to serve Kingsley Coman on a platter and thus deliver its 21st offering of the season. A symbolic total since it allows him to equal the record of assistants in a season held by a certain …Kevin de Bruyne. The Belgian had achieved such a feat when he defended the colors of Wolfsburg in the 2014/2015 season.

Will Müller manage to overtake our compatriot? He still has a half and a half to get there.
